The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday predicted light to moderate intensity rain with thunderstorms over Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Punjab over the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the southeast monsoon has further advanced in most parts of Gujrat, Saurashtra, southeast Rajasthan and some parts of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

Moderate to severe thunderstorms accompanied by frequent cloud to ground lightning very likely over East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar during next 24 hours. This may cause injuries leading to casualties to people and animals staying outdoors.
