Pre-Registration For COVID Vaccination Not Mandatory: Health Ministry

Date:

The Union Health Ministry on Tuesday announced that pre-registration for Covid vaccination and prior booking of appointment is no longer mandatory.

Now, anyone aged 18 years and above can walk in to the nearest vaccination centre and get vaccinated without prior registration. It is not mandatory to pre-register online or book an appointment to get the vaccine, the government said.

The clarification came after many people in rural areas reportedly faced problems in getting vaccinated.
