The Himachal Pradesh government has issued a travel advisory for tourists and made the COVID-19 e-pass mandatory. This came a day after a massive traffic jam was observed in the state.
Himachal Pradesh govt on Friday said that no RT- PCR test will be required for entry in the state which led to a huge rush of vehicles to enter into the date.
A rush of more than 2,000 cars led to a huge traffic jam near the borders.

A video went viral on Monday showing thousands of cars and buses waiting to enter the state which is famous for its scenic view.
Many people reacted and took to Twitter saying these will be the people who will blame the government later for the third wave.

Hundreds of cars were seen on the road leading to Himachal Pradesh as soon as the state announced that COVID-19 RT-PCR negative tests are no longer required to enter the state, causing severe traffic congestion & bringing traffic to a halt in the hills.

Mohit Chawla, superintendent of police, in an interview with ANI news agency told that at least 5000 vehicles entered Shimla from the Shoghi barrier on weekend.
Now, the Himachal Pradesh government has issued a travel advisory and has made e-pass mandatory for visitors to enter the state. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that visitors will be monitored through registration on the covid e-pass software.
हिमाचल आने वालों की सुविधा हेतु कोविड ई-पास सॉफ्टवेयर में पंजीकरण द्वारा निगरानी की जाएगी।
राज्य में प्रवेश करने के इच्छुक व्यक्तियों को संबंधित ऑनलाइन सॉफ्टवेयर में रजिस्ट्रेशन करना अनिवार्य है।

People will have to enter their details on the online portals and that will be shared with the concerned authorities to keep a check.
