A video of a discussion between a news anchor and a guest praising the Indian government is doing rounds on social media with the claim that the video shows a Pakistani media channel.
The caption of the Facebook post read: “Even Pakistan know the Truth about India. #SatyamevaJayate Pakistan Media on India”

NewsMobile fact-checked this post and found that the claim is misleading.
When we extracted the keyframes of the video and put them through Reverse Image Search, we found that the longer version of the video was posted on TAG TV’s YouTube channel on November 18, 2020. The caption of the video read, “Arif Aajakia Exclusive Talk with Tahir Gora on Mumbai 26/11 Terror Attack – UK Talk Show @TAG TV”
We found that the video has been flipped before uploading on social media. Additionally, the ticker reading, ‘Pakistan Media on India‘ was missing in the original video, which proves that the ticker was digitally added to the video.
Further, we checked Tag TV’s website and social media handles and found that it a Canadian online TV channel with offices in the United States of America and the United Kingdom as well. It was founded by Canadian journalist Tahir Aslam Gora.
On digging further, we found Gora’s website. As per the website, Gora is a Canadian writer, journalist, broadcaster and the founder of TAG TV.
The website states that he also participated in Canada’s Federal Elections 2019 as a candidate of the Peoples’ Party of Canada.
The above information proves that the video in question is from a Canada-based online TV channel, not from any channel in Pakistan.
