India’s second wave of COVID-19 has caused unprecedented devastation. With a crisis of this magnitude, several organizations have come forward to support frontline health workers and at-risk communities.
One such organization that has been relentlessly pursuing humanitarian work for the last 45 days is Isha Foundation.
Spiritual leader Jaggi Vasudev’s Isha Foundation in Karnataka started distribution of snacks and beverages to the medical fraternity and health care team of Government Hospitals in Bangalore and is now distributing it to over 45 major Government Hospitals in Bangalore, Mysore, Mandya, Mangalore, Udupi, Chickmagalur, Chickaballapur, and Chamrajnagar Districts.

The Foundation has supplied over 4 Lakh packets and will continue to do so till the 1st July 2021. The food packets have also been distributed to Police personnel on duty.
Medical equipments and hospital care items including ECG machines and multi parameters have also been supplied to the upcoming Hospital in Chickballapur.
Sadhguru’s Isha Foundation has also provided ration kits containing all essential food items to 550 nomadic and semi-nomadic tribes in Chickballapur and neighbouring taluks last week, in the presence of Dr Sudhakar, the state’s Health Minister, and other officials. 1600 ration kits will further be distributed to the Villages in Chickballapur District.

Over 250 doctors from Isha are volunteering coordinating with the BBMP and Health Department to Coordinate with the patients and families online for the last one month.
