FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim and found it to be FAKE.

During our investigation, we came across an article published on May 7, 2021, that stated there is no provision of financial assistance from the Rajasthan Government to the families of those who have died of COVID-19.

We came across another article in which it was mentioned that Lokesh Sharma, OSD to Rajasthan CM, clarified that fake forms are being linked in the name of CM Assistance Fund on WhatsApp groups and social media with a false claim of providing Rs 4 lakh compensation.

Taking a cue from this, we scanned the Twitter handle of Lokesh Sharma and came across the rebuttal of the viral claim.

“This form, circulated on WhatsApp groups and social media, has no relation with the Rajasthan government. The state government has not taken out any such provision/form. Regarding the state, it should be considered completely false and wrong and there should not be any kind of confusion about it,” reads the tweet.

Thus, it is evident from the above information that the viral claim is FAKE.
