As journalists and media houses, we cherish our time in newsrooms and offices are like our creative huts. But the same did not happen while the world witnessed mass lockdowns due to the surge of the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet this did not falter our spirits to bring the latest news to you.
May 3 is celebrated as World Press Freedom Day, every year. Started by the UN General Assembly in 1993, on a recommendation from UNESCO, the day is used to celebrate the fundamental principles of press freedom.
The theme for this year is “Information as a Public Good” the main agenda of the summit this year will be to maintain transparency and stating facts on and via social media platforms.
Let’s take a look at how our home became our newsrooms and zoom calls became the mode of celebrations and meeting instead of conference halls.
