A video of some labourers lying on the floor is doing rounds on social media with a claim that is shows the grim situation of coronavirus outbreak in Akola in Maharashtra.
A user shared the post with a caption, “महाराष्ट्र में कोरोना की भयावहता…अकोला, महराष्ट्र, भारत”

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found that the claim attached to the video is false.
We ran a Reverse Image Search on the keyframes from the video and found the snapshot of the video in a report by The Times of India dated April 3, 2021. The headline of the report read, “Gujarat: Fever patients treated on Morbi ceramic factory’s floor”.
As per the report, the labourers were being treated in the Capson Tiles Factory in Gujarat since hospitals were full because hospitals were full and doctors advised not to admit non-Covid patients.
We found another video by Zee 24 Kalak dated April 3, 2021, on YouTube with the visuals form the viral video. The title of the video in Gujarati read, “Morbi News | Hospital માં જગ્યા ના હોવાથી દર્દીઓની પતરાના શેડ નીચે સારવાર | Morbi Corona News Today”. (Translation- Due to lack of space in the hospital, patients are treated under a leaf shed)
In the video, it has been mentioned that the incident took place in Morbi, Gujarat, where some labourers complained of cough and fever a few days back and doctor advised them to be treated outside the hospital.
We further checked the location of the Capson Tiles Factory on Google Maps and found that the factory is in Morbi, Gujarat.
Hence, based on the above information, we can say that the video is from Morbi in Gujarat and not from Akola in Maharashtra.
