FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found it to be misleading.

We ran the picture through Reverse Image Search and found the same picture in an article by India TV from 2019.

“Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal with Deputy Chief Minister & Education Minister Manish Sisodia presents anti-pollution mask to a student at Rajkiya Pratibha Vikas Vidyalaya, in New Delhi,” the caption of the picture read.

The same picture was published by The Print in 2019 also.

The same picture was published in Hindustan Times and India Today as well in November 2019.

According to media reports, Delhi Government had distributed anti-pollution masks to schoolchildren in order to protect them from the foul air that envelopes the capital during winters.

The video was also uploaded by ANI on their YouTube channel.

Pictures of the same mask distribution drive were also available on the official Twitter handle of the Aam Aadmi Party.

This proves that the picture in circulation is OLD and has no relation with the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
