In Tamil Nadu, around 65.11 percent voter turnout was recorded in the single-phase Assembly election on Tuesday. The popular faces from the entertainment industry have also made their way to the polling booths.
Superstars Ajith Kumar, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Surya were spotted as they made their way to their respective polling booths to cast votes. Their participation in the election has been well-appreciated by fans.
Ajith Kumar who is fondly celebrated as Thala along with his wife & actress Shalini, they were spotted wearing masks due to the COVID restriction in the state. They showed up at the Thiruvanmiyur polling booth as the first person among all the celebrities.
Rajinikanth was seen sporting an all-white kurta pyjama look as he got snapped by the media. He made his way to Stella Maris College to cast his vote.
In another picture, Rajinikanth can be seen proudly flaunting the ink mark on his finger to show that he has voted.
Meanwhile, Shruti Haasan took to Instagram to share a picture with her father Kamal Haasan and sister Akshara to share a selfie of the trio and mentioned that they are on their way to vote.
She wrote, “Time to vote !!! @aksharaa.haasan @ikamalhaasan #mnm #torchlight”
Actor Suriya also arrived to cast his vote. The stars ensured to wear their masks maintaining the COVID protocols.
Actor Vijay made his way to the booth in a more eco-friendly style on a cycle looking fit as always.
