A picture is widely being shared on the internet which shows a screengrab of an exit poll survey by a Hindi news channel, ABP News.
In the screengrab, it is being claimed that Trinamool Congress is likely to win 23-26 of the 30 seats in Bengal that went to polls in the first phase on March 27, 2021.
The caption of the picture read: “According to ABP News , in the first phase of Bengal Polls All India Trinamool Congress to get 23-26 seats out of 30. We can see a clear picture that Mamata Banerjee will take oath as C.M of W.B for the third time on 2nd May. #TMCSweepsPhase1 #BengalRejectsBJP”

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim and found out that the exit poll was not published by ABP News.
According to a press note released by the Election Commission on March 26, 2021, conducting an exit poll and publishing or publicising its results is prohibited between 7 am on March 27, 2021 (Saturday) and 7.30 pm on April 29, 2021 (Thursday) for the ongoing elections and by-elections.
It is highly unlikely that ABP News would publish an exit poll after being prohibited by EC.
We further looked for the survey on APB News‘ website but could not find any such exit poll survey.
ABP News also confirmed that no such exit poll has been issued by them. The media organisation, in a tweet, explicitly clarified that this post is fake.
