There are different ways of dealing with the coronavirus. Many people use masks and sanitizers as their primary weapon to fight the deadly virus, whereas many still believe in the unscientific approach.
In order to make Meerut Covid-free, UP Police has now started offering ‘Gangajal’ and ‘Chandan’ paste to visitors at the police station to mitigate the effect of COVID-19.
In a video, widely shared on social media, the SHO of Nauchandi police station can be seen with a bottle of Gangajal. He is also seen sprinkling the Gangajal in his room while chanting ‘mantras’. He further urged the visitors to apply a paste of sandalwood on their foreheads.

“Those who come to the station are calmer, they can tell their problems peacefully, and slowly their problems get diluted,” the officer can be heard saying.

At least 1,386 fresh COVID-19 cases have been reported in Uttar Pradesh in the last 24 hours. Out of total 1,386 positive cases, 499 were reported from the state capital alone.
