The former US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump had received the COVID-19 vaccine during their last days in the White House in January, reported The New York Times and other media outlets such as CNN.
However, it is still unclear as to which vaccine they received and how many doses.
The news came a day after Mr. Trump appeared at the CPAC political conference in Orlando, where for the first time he encouraged people to go get vaccinated.
“Everyone should go get your shot,” Trump said during the speech.
Earlier, President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris and former Vice President Mike Pence received vaccine shots in front of television cameras.
