Fact Check

NewsMobile checked the claim and found it to be false.

Firstly, we searched for the place – Sudwara cave – and found out that there are ‘Sudwala’ Caves in South Africa and not ‘Sudwara’.

Then we ran a reverse image search on the left picture in the post and found out that it is related to the Sudwala Caves. A similar image of Sudwala Caves can be seen on ‘Getty Images’ website with a caption, “South Africa, Mpumalanga, Nelspruit, Sudwala cave interior – stock photo”.

We found the same Getty image in an article by Tripsavvy.

We then looked for news regarding the discovery of a 6000-year-old Shiva Linga by archaeologists in the Sudwala Caves but couldn’t find any credible reports.

Also, the exact details of the statue in the posted photo (on the right side) were not found.

Hence, we can say that that the claim in the post in question is false.
