In the backdrop of the ongoing farmers’ protest, a picture collage is doing the rounds on social media suggesting that the girl who raised pro-Pakistan slogans at AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi’s event in 2020 was spotted at the farmer’s protest.
A Facebook user shared the post with a caption, ‘The same girl in Farmers protest …. Who raised Pakistan Zindabad in MIM meeting …. What is this connection … Who are the forces behind this ….All the same faces seen in every Anti National protest’

FACT CHECK
We fact-checked the above post and found that the claim is fake.
When we ran a Reverse Image Search on both the pictures and found that the girls in both the pictures are different.

In one of the posts on Twitter, we found a comment which roughly translated to ‘she is not the same girl. Another girl from Tamil Nadu, her name is Valarmathi’.
இது அவள் கிடையாது தமிழ்நாட்டைச் சேர்ந்த இன்னொரு பஜாரி இவள் பெயர் வளர்மதி
— vijaianand (@vvijaianand) January 28, 2021
With that information, we did a Reverse Image Search with the keyword ‘Valarmathi; and found a Facebook post by Valarmathi Sums dated January 26, 2021.
On digging further, we found that Valarmathi is a social activist from Tamil Nadu.
NewsMobile reached out to Valarmathi who confirmed that the girl in the farmers’ protest is, in fact, her while the other girl is someone else.

We ran another Reverse Image Search on the second picture and found the picture in a report by BBC dated February 21, 2020. The headline of the report read, ‘India woman held for chanting ‘long live Pakistan’ at citizenship protest’.
According to the report, the girl Amulya Leon was participating in a demonstration against a controversial citizenship law when she chanted pro-Pakistan slogans.
The incident was covered by various news organisations. Reports can be read here, here and here.
Hence, based on the above information, we can say that the girls in both pictures are different.
