FACT CHECK
NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found that the picture is not from India.
We cropped the picture and ran a Reverse Image Search. The search led us to a blog by the US Department of Agriculture from 2017 featuring the same image.
The caption of the picture read: The massive Mendenhall Glacier in Alaska’s Tongass National Forest is rapidly retreating. We also found an article by High Country News from 2016, featuring the same image.
We also found the same image on the website of the National Science Foundation, in an article from 2010.
NewsMobile debunked a similar video earlier, where a video from Nepal was being shared as that of Uttarakhand.
