NewsMobile fact-checked the picture and found that the viral picture is morphed.

When we put the image through Reverse Image Search, we found the picture on the website ‘Fine Art America‘, clicked by Guenzel’s profile, a photographer based out of the United States of America.

Art Prints The caption of the picture read, ‘Magnetic Sun. A stylized rendition of a solar close-up. This image highlights the turbulent magnetic field on the visible surface of our star’.

We also found the picture on Guenzel’s Twitter handle, published on January 13. He mentions that the picture is a software processes image of the solar chromosphere.

Guenzel also replied to a social media post of his picture being shared with the fake claim.

Hence, the above information proves that the picture is a software processes image of the solar chromosphere and not published by NASA
