Vested Interests Don’t Want A Strong India: EIC Saurabh Shukla On PM’s Remarks In Parliament

Date:

In a democracy dissent is important and people have a right to protest and dissent, but they don’t have the right to mislead and create misinformation, says NewsMobile Editor-in-Chief Saurabh Shukla.

Speaking on a TV debate show on Republic TV, Shukla also said that the problem is that some vested interests can’t digest a strong democracy like India coming to the fore on the global stage.

His comments come hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech in Rajya Sabha, wherein PM Modi renewed the government’s offer of talks with protesting farmers and slammed opposition parties for making a U-turn on the issue.

PM Modi also said, “There is a new crop of ‘ andolanjeevi‘. They live for andolan (protests). They look for ways to start a new andolan. The country needs to be aware of these andolanjeevis.”
