A 30-year-old woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Sikri village was forced to drink acid and then stabbed in the stomach by her neighbour after resisting his attempts to sexually assault.
The police got the woman admitted to the district hospital, however, she was later referred to the Higher Centre, Bareilly. As per the police, the accused, Satendra, has been arrested.
Late on Monday night, Satendara entered the woman’s house forcibly and started molesting her, the police said. However, when she resisted his attempts, he forced her to drink acid. When the woman tried to alert the people by shouting, Satendra stabbed her with a knife and injured her in the abdomen.

Reportedly, the accused fled from the spot after stabbing the woman. The victim’s neighbours reached her house on hearing her cries and informed the police about the incident.
The woman lives in UP with her three kids, while her husband works in Delhi.
Locals alleged that the police at first took this whole incident lightly, but when the video of the injured woman went viral, the police registered a case of attempt to murder against Satendra and arrested him, News18 reported.
