A day after Rihanna, Greta Thunberg and other many international personalities extend their support to farmers’ protest, Bollywood superstars Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Suniel Shetty and producer-director Karan Johar have now joined the Centre’s call to stand united against propaganda.
Akshay Kumar said, “Farmers constitute an extremely important part of our country. And the efforts being undertaken to resolve their issues are evident. Let’s support an amicable resolution, rather than paying attention to anyone creating differences.”

Farmers have been protesting on the different borders of the national capital since November 26 last year against the three newly enacted farm laws: Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; the Farmers Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and farm Services Act 2020 and the Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020.
