As protesting farmers have decided to hold a tractor march on January 26, 2021, a picture of former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni on a tractor has begun doing rounds on social media. It is being claimed that Dhoni is showing his support for the tractor march.

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found that the claim attached to it is FAKE.

When we put the picture through Reverse Image Search along with some keywords, we found the picture in a report by Republic World dated June 8, 2020.

The headline of the report read, ‘MS Dhoni Buys Swaraj 963 FE Tractor For Organic Farming, Anand Mahindra Lauds Cricketer’.

As per the report, Dhoni has bought this tractor to drive around his sprawling 7-acre farmhouse in hometown Ranchi. The former Indian captain started organic farming during the 3-month long lockdown due to Covid-19 pandemic.

IPL team Chennai Super Kings also tweeted a video in June 2020 in which Dhoni can be seen driving the same tractor on the road.
