Joe and Jill Biden’s Dogs All Set To Move Into White House

As US President elect Joe Biden and Vice-President elect Kamala Harris get set to take on their responsibilities and fulfil promises made to the people of America in January, here are two German Shepherd dogs whose lives will change too. Champ and Major will soon be moving in and bringing White House back to life.

Champ, has been with the Bidens since 2008 and lived in the White House before while Major was fostered and then adopted by the Bidens from the Delaware Humane Society in 2018. Major will be the first rescue dog in the White House.

Champ was a gift from Joe to his wife Jill Biden after the 2008 election when he became the US Vice-President. According to a video on a US network, Champ shows he has as special relationship with his master.

According to the New York Post, the two soon to become first dogs of the US are going to revive a tradition that goes back to George Washington, who was the first President to have a dog. Atleast 30 presidents have had dogs, starting with Washington. However, President Donald Trump does not have any pets.

Vice-President elect Kamala Harris does not have a dog but is on record as being pro-canine. Democrat Joe Biden beat his Republican counterpart Trump on Saturday going past the magic figure of 270 electoral votes stumping out chances of a second term for Trump and Vice-President Mike Pence.
