New Zealand and Australia are one of the few countries in the world to welcome the year 2021. The country, which beat the Covid-19 outbreak for the second time recently, marked the New Year with a stunning firework display.
Visuals of the celebrations on social media showed massive crowds gathered at the waterfront to watch the fireworks display as the country entered 2021, 7.30 hours before India.

A large number of tourists were seen in Goa ahead of the new year celebrations.
“Tourists started coming here to celebrate and enjoy. Goa is a gift from God as it is filled with natural beauty and people come here to enjoy it. They are enjoying following all the COVID-19 precautions,” Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar told media on Wednesday. “It is good that the tourists are coming in the state as it will help businesses in Goa,” he added.
