A picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and founder of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg is doing the rounds on social media claiming that Mark Zuckerberg is standing in support of PM Modi against the ongoing farmers’ protest.
In the picture, Mark can be seen wearing a saffron attire.
The Facebook post read, “Hi MarkZukerberg you are a partner in crime with Modi #RipFarmersRipDemocracy #FacebookJioAgainstFarmers.”
Another similar post was found on Twitter as well.

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found it to be morphed.
On putting the picture through Google Reverse Image Search, we found the original picture in Maharashtra Times dated August 10, 2020, and found that the picture is of UP CM Yogi Adityanath and PM Modi.
Further, we also found another article in The Economics Times dated August 1, 2020, with the same picture and captioned as, “PM Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath.”
On comparing that Fake vs Real collage, we can clearly see that the viral picture is altered with false claims.
Hence, the viral picture of PM Narendra Modi and Mark Zuckerberg in question is morphed. Truth is that the original picture is of PM Modi along with UP CM Aditya Yoginath. Don’t fall for false and misleading claims.
