A picture of a boy, with strong resemblance to Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, is doing rounds on social media. It is being claimed that the picture is of a Kashmiri boy who resembles the Bollywood actor.
The Facebook caption read, “Kashmiri boy is making rounds on Social media who looks Like as Bollywood Badshah @iamsrk (SRK’s body double) !”

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found it to be false and misleading.
We got our first clue when we saw a comment claiming it to be fake. The comment read, “Fake sir. This is how Faceapp works.”
On putting the picture through Google Reverse Image Search, we found a similar looking picture on Getty Images dated May 23, 2002.

STEP 1: We first searched for FaceApp on Apple Store.
STEP 2: Then we downloaded and opened the FaceApp.
STEP 3: After opening the application, we then selected Shah Rukh Khan’s picture from the gallery.
STEP 4: We then selected the age option after selecting the picture from the gallery.
STEP 5:After the ‘age’ option, we then clicked on the child option and found that the original picture can be modified using FaceApp.
In conclusion, the viral picture of Shah Rukh Khan has been modified with the help of FaceApp. Don’t fall for false and misleading claims.
