Sandeep Kataria became the first man of Indian origin to lead the footwear major Bata as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. The company made this announcement on Tuesday and made Sandeep global CEO on an immediate basis.
Earlier, Alexis Nasard chaired the position for almost five years in the role. Prior to this, Kataria was the CEO of Bata India since 2017. He had 24 years of experience at Unilever, Yum Brands and Vodafone in India and Europe before joining Bata India as CEO in 2017.
His expertise in leading businesses and his impressive command on extensive global reach has made him reach the top.
