In honour of the adoption of the Constitution, each year, India observes November 26, as The Constitution Day.
On this day, in 1949, the Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution. Since 2015, this day has been observed as the Constitution Day of India, also known as Samvidhan Divas. The Constitution came into effect two months later, on January 26, 1950, celebrated as the Republic Day.
India also remembers the Chief Architect of the Indian Constitution, Dr. B R Ambedkar on this day.
