RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat during his dassera speech on Sunday raked up the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) issue again, saying, “Opportunists unleashed organized violence in the name of protests.” Anti-CAA protests put the Modi government on the backfoot.
Bhagwat added, “CAA does not oppose any particular religious community. But those who wanted to oppose this new law misled our Muslim brothers by propagating a false notion that it was aimed at restricting the Muslim population. Using CAA, opportunists unleashed organised violence in the name of protests. Even before something could be thought out, coronavirus crept in. In the background, the efforts by rioters and opportunists to reignite the conflict still continue.”

The RSS Chief also commented on China saying that India needs to grow bigger than China in terms of shakti and vypati or power and scope. “China was shocked at India’s response to its intrusion. India needs to grow bigger in power and scope than China,” he said. “China encroached on our borders amid the pandemic.” Said Bhagwat on China.
“We intend to be friendly with all. This is our nature. But mistaking our benevolence for weakness and attempts to disintegrate or weaken us by sheer brute force is unacceptable. Our detractors must know this by now,” added the RSS Chief.
Bhagwat was speaking at the RSS annual Vijay Dashami celebrations amidst 50 volunteers amidst the COVID-19 situation.
