Molestation pushed a minor to take her own life
A minor girl allegedly died by committing suicide. She jumped into a well in Puwasi village of UP’s Pratapgarh district, after being repeatedly molested by three people of her village, the police said on Wednesday.
According to the police, the incident happened in Punwasi village of Baghrai police station area at 1 pm on Tuesday. The accused have been identified and one of them has been taken into custody. The body has been sent for the post-mortem. FIR has been registered under the relevant section of the IPC and POCSO Act in the case.
Acid attack on three minor girls in Gonda
In UP’s Gonda district, three minor sisters were attacked with chemical while sleeping on the first floor of their house. According to the Superintendent of Police, Shailendra Pandey, “Doctors are investigating what chemical was used. The girls are stable. One has 30 percent burn injuries, while the other two have 20 percent and 7 percent burn injuries.” The accused in the incident has been arrested, police said on Tuesday. The accused was arrested following an encounter with police personnel in the Huzurpur area late Tuesday evening. He sustained injuries during the encounter and has been hospitalized.
4 year old raped in Sasni
In another incident, A four-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her relative in the Sasni area of Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. According to Ruchi Gupta, Circle Officer, the accused has been arrested soon after the rape incident was reported.”After receiving the information regarding the incident, our team reached the spot. The victim was sent to the hospital for the tests. We have arrested the accused who was staying near to the house of the victim,” she added.

Meanwhile, taking the cognizance of the increase in the crime against women in the state, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath assured that these cases will be dealt with no tolerance and to Fast track courts and POCSO courts will be set up to get justice to the victim at the earliest.
