Post Hathras, another horrifying incident of a woman in Bihar, who was allegedly gang-raped and later thrown into a river with her five-year-old child, has come to light. While struggling to swim for life, the five-year-old drowned and could not be saved. The incident took place in Ojha Baraon village of Buxar in Bihar.
Confirming the incident, the Bihar Police has registered an FIR in connection with the case and one of the accused has been arrested by the Bihar Police on Sunday.
According to the police, the woman was thrown into a river, along with her five-year-old child, after the gang-rape.”The woman’s medical examination is being done. An FIR has been registered, while one accused was arrested. The body of the child has been sent for post-mortem,” Dumraon DSP KK Singh said.
“We are ascertaining facts related to the case,” he added.
As per media reports, it is being alleged that the women and her child were surrounded by a few men when they were on their way to the bank and were abducted. Later, the accused raped and tied her along with her minor son and threw them into a river. By the time she raised an alarm and villagers came to her rescue, the child had already died. After a string of horrifying rape cases in the past few months, this blood chilling incident, yet again, has left the nation shocked.
