On Sunday, the Narcotics Control Bureau made more arrests in connection with the ongoing drugs probe related to the Sushant Singh Rajput case. As of now, 16 drug peddlers and suppliers have been arrested across Goa and Mumbai based on the information given by Rhea Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, and Dipesh Sawant.
Meanwhile, the NCB denied making a list of 25 Bollywood celebrities who, as per reports, were named by Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty in the drugs case related to the Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case.
Last week, the Sushant-Rhea case had taken a political turn after West Bengal Congress took out a rally in support of Rhea Chakraborty.
West Bengal Congress shared a live video on Facebook with the caption, “The political conspiracy and vengeful behaviour towards daughter of Bengal, Rhea Chakraborty will not be tolerated.”
On Saturday, Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, launched a new campaign #FeedFood4SSR and asked fans to feed the poor or homeless in memory of late actor. Shweta added that while feeding the poor, people must close their eyes and pray that the truth surfaces as soon as possible.
She wrote, “Let’s try to do our bit by feeding a homeless or a poor today. And while we are at it, let’s close your eyes and pray. Pray that truth surfaces as soon as possible and God guide us in the right direction. Let’s keep praying and doing good for our beloved Sushant #FeedFood4SSR.”
Earlier, Shweta Singh had shared an old video of Sushant Singh Rajput in which he could be seen feeding food to a little girl. In the caption, Shweta Singh Kirti wrote, “A Beautiful Caring Heart! #JusticeForSushantSinghRajput.”
So far, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been grilling the main accused Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda and others in the case. In fact, while Rhea and Showik had applied for a bail post their arrest, their bail plea has been rejected. Reportedly, Rhea will move the High Court to seek bail.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence on June 14. The actor’s death case is presently being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation, the Narcotics Control Bureau, and the Enforcement Directorate.
Last week, the NCB had arrested Rhea Chakraborty for alleged procurement of drugs. Rhea’s brother, Showik Chakraborty, Sushant Singh Rajput’s manager Samuel Miranda and cook Dipesh Sawant were also arrested by the NCB earlier.
