As per latest reports, actress Rhea Chakraborty submitted a 20-page confession and named several Bollywood celebrities for allegedly consuming drugs with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Reportedly, Rhea claimed that Sushant’s Lonavla farmhouse was a hub of drug-fueled parties for his friends in Bollywood. However, she denied being present at these parties.
Rhea, in her statement to the Narcotics Control Bureau, reportedly claimed that Sushant had told her about a filmmaker who allegedly introduced him to parties where cocaine, LSD, and curated Marijuana were consumed.
Earlier, after a Mumbai Court denied her bail plea, reports of Rhea Chakraborty planning to move the High Court came to light.
A special court in Mumbai on Friday had rejected bail pleas filed by Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik, arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with the drugs case linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
The court had also rejected bail pleas of other accused – Abdul Basit, Zaid Vilatra, Dipesh Sawant and Samuel Miranda.
On Thursday, the special court heard the bail pleas of the sister-brother duo and had reserved the order. The actor had said in her bail request that she was coerced into making self-incriminatory confessions, which she now retracts.
The petition argues that her arrest was “unwarranted and without any justification,” that her liberty was “arbitrarily curtailed” and that no female officer was present during her interrogation.
