A picture of Home Minister Amit Shah is being shared on social media with a claim that he went to Dwarkadhish Temple in Gujarat after he tested negative for COVID-19.

NewsMobile fact checked the post and found the claim to be false.

Amit Shah in a tweet dated August 2, 2020, informed that he has tested positive for COVID-19. On August 14, 2020, he informed that his COVID-19 result has come negative.

However, he was taken to AIIMS on August 18 for post COVID-19 care and was released on August 31, 2020.

Moreover, when we ran a Reverse Image Search on the picture along with the keywords like ‘Amit Shah’, ‘Dwarika’, we found the same image on the official website of Amit Shah.

“Dwarika Mandir, Gujarat 24 Jan 2013, ” the picture was captioned.

Hence, from the above information, it is clear that the post in question is false.
