CSK’s Suresh Raina returns to India, will not play in IPL 2020

Chennai Super Kings batsman Suresh Raina has returned to India and will not be playing the IPL 2020 due to start in UAE from September 19. CSK’s CEO K S Viswanathan announced on twitter that Suresh Raina has returned to India for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of the IPL season.

This will be a big blow to CSK’s IPL innings this year. The team’s training has been delayed after 10 members of the team’s crew including a bowler tested positive for the corona virus after their arrival in Dubai. This news has come as a big setback for the CSK team and their quarantine period has been extended to September 1 and teams cannot begin training till players clear all 3 corona tests. Now the CSK team will have to wait for the result of a fourth corona test that they will have to undergo. The result should be out on Saturday.
