A mother fought two men who tried to kidnap her four-year-old daughter in Delhi’s Shakarpur area on Tuesday, July 21, forcing them to flee without their bike.
The incident caught on a CCTV camera, wherein two persons on a motorcycle with a fake number plate can be seen forcibly trying to grab the child outside her home.
However, the mother pounced on the bike and the kidnappers lost the balance. While the woman snatched back the child, one of the men ran away on foot while the other tried to flee on the bike but had to left his bike.

According to police, the two drove up to the child’s house at around 4 PM on a black Pulsar with a fake registration number, but the police still managed to track its owner – Dheeraj, a resident of Jagat Puri. The police have arrested both the men.
“The bike was having a fake number plate but we managed to trace its owner, through the chassis number. Bike owner Dheeraj was arrested and on interrogation, revealed that the child’s uncle, identified as Upender, was the mastermind of the kidnapping bid,” DCP, East, Jasmeet Singh said.
Dheeraj confessed that the child’s uncle, Upendra was the mastermind of the incident, adding that he had been promised Rs 1 lakh for his role. The police also found four cartridges and a country-made gun from the backpack.
