The youth wing of the Shiv Sena, the Yuva Sena has moved the Supreme Court against the UGC deadline to hold final year university exams by September 30. The exams were earlier postponed due to the outbreak of the corona pandemic. The University Grants Commission, under the central Human Resources Development ministry had said said final year/semester exams would be held by the end of September, in either fully offline (pen and paper), fully online or blended (offline + online) mode. The court is yet to admit the petition.

Taking to twitter, He said that UGC should not enforce the exams when corona cases have surpassed 10 lakh mark in the country

Calling UGC’s judgement bizarre Thackeray said this petition is for each and every student across the country, being forced to appear for an examination with little regard for human safety.

Maharashtra remains the state worst-affected state by Corona Virus in the country, with nearly three lakh total cases.

Before this Delhi government cancelled all state university exams. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has called on the Narendra Modi government to cancel central university exams in Delhi.
