In a strange incident, local administration has found out that a college student of USA’s Tuscaloosa, Alabama, who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, had been attending parties in the city, as part of a strange contest – to see who can catch the virus first!

In an interview with ABC News, Tuscaloosa City Councilor, Sonya McKinstry said, “students have been organizing ‘COVID Parties’ as a game to intentionally infect each other”. She further added that it was later discovered that many such children in the city are following the trend.

She said that it has become the new cool to organize such parties and organizers of these parties purposely invite guests who have COVID-19. It was found that they then put money in a pot. Whosoever gets infected first, gets the pot.

This new revelation has left everyone shocked, since the COVID curve in the US is only rising steeper each day. The US has witnessed a surge of more than 40,000 cases consecutively for the past 6 day.
As of now, the country has reported more than 1, 28,000 deaths. At this rate, it cannot afford to deal with such reckless behaviour, which can endanger large communities.

The administration hasn’t yet confirmed on the action they will be taking against such students.
