FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found the claim to be false.

We extracted key frames of the video and then put them through Reverse Image Search, which led us to the same YouTube video, uploaded on Nov 28, 2016, by a Malaysian media organisation, Utusan Malaysia.

Taking a cue from this, we ran another Reverse Image Search along with relevant keywords. The search led us to several reports on the incident. The articles state that the incident took place in Malaysia.

The same incident was covered by The Star and Straits Times.

We ran a search but did not find any credible Pakistani report on the same incident.

NewsMobile couldn’t independently verify the origin of the video, however, based on the above information, it is clear that the video is from Malaysia and is at least 3 years old.
