Gurugram issues revised list of 106 containment zones

The Gurgugram District administration on Friday issued a fresh list of containment zones having a total of 106 containment zones – 99 in Gurgaon, four in Pataudi, two in Sohna, one in Farrukhnagar.

The areas in containment zones include – H-block in DLF phase 4, Nirwana Country (Sec 50), Tower no. 19 (Central Park), Garden Estate Apartment (DLF phase 3) and Nitin Vihar, among others.

Another containment order has also been issued for certain pockets with a large outbreak, intensive public health campaign will be undertaken in such areas in the public interest.

In these large outbreak regions, restrictions will be imposed from June 30 to July 14. The movement to be restricted, essential shops and commercial establishments will be allowed.

Meanwhile, 93 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Gurguram today, with 5 people also succumbing to the infection and 226 others recovering. The district has so far recorded 4,944 cases of coronavirus, of who 81 people have succumbed.
