India witnessed the highest ever single-day spike of 6,977 positive COVID-19 cases on Monday, taking the total number of cases to 1,38,845, according to the Health Ministry.

2. India has now overtaken Iran and has emerged as the 10th worst-hit country by the novel coronavirus after four days of record spikes in the number of cases.
3. 2,436 new patients of COVID-19 recorded in Maharastra today, while 60 deaths have reported and 1,186 were discharged. The total number of positive cases in the state rose to 52,667, including 1,695 deaths and 15,786 discharged: Maharashtra State health department

6. Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja on Monday confirmed 49 new COVID-19 cases in the state, taking the total number of positive cases to 896.
7. With 21 new COVID-19 cases reported in Punjab on Monday, the total number of positive coronavirus cases has risen to 2,081. So far, 40 COVID-19 deaths reported in the state and 1,913 patients have recovered. At present, there are 128 active cases in the state.
