Arvind Trivedi, who played Ravana in Ramayan TV series is NOT dead; here’s the fact check

Days after iconic TV series, Ramayan, was re-aired on Doordarshan, news of the death of actor Arvind Trivedi, who essayed the role of Ravana, started doing the rounds on social media.

 

 

FACT CHECK 

We fact-checked the viral post and found that it is fake.

We ran a search and did not find any credible news reports to support the claim.

We then ran a search on various social media platforms using relevant keywords and found a tweet by Arvind Trivedi’s nephew, Kaustub Trivedi, who rubbished the viral claim.

“Dear all my uncle Arvind Trivedi lankesh is all good and safe. Stop spreading fake news it is request. Now please spread this. Thanks,” he tweeted.

Recently, a video of him watching Ramayan also went viral.

 

The above information proves that the viral message is fake.

Veteran actor Arvind Trivedi, who played the role of Ravan in Ramanand Sagar’s 1987 iconic TV series Ramayan, passed away at the age of 82 on October 5, 2021. Trivedi was suffering from age-related illnesses and he suffered a heart attack, that led to multi-organ failure.
