Even as Gurgaon battles to remain in the orange zone, a new case of an elderly couple testing positive for coronavirus has rocked the Gurgaon fraternity.
A 72-year-old couple residing in Belmonte apartments on the upscale Golf Course road in Gurgaon, has now tested positive for COVID-19. As per reports, the elderly man, a wholesale dealer had gone to Azadpur mandi for work. He could have probably caught it there. As per the apartment residents, the couple had been walking in the premises, going to the vegetable store, talking to guards, taking help from neighbours living next door for odd jobs and hence chances of them passing on to the others cannot be dismissed.
After the husband was found positive, the wife also tested positive.

They reside in Belmonte tower 10, which has been sealed for all residents now.
Following this, the RWA of the society has taken out instructions for all residents to follow. The couple are in confinement in their apartment and so are other residents from the tower.
Movement in/out of Belmonte has been stopped. Areas which had been potentially visited by the affected couple are being identified for appropriate action.
As a part of contact tracing, data is being collected from the couple and other residents with regards to mutual contact in the last 2-3 weeks. Sanitisation activities are on in full swing.
