India witnessed another day where it registered 2000+ cases in a single day and the total cases have now crossed the 40,000-mark.

1. India reported 2,487 new cases, 83 deaths in the last 24 hours.
2. Total number of COVID-19 positive cases in India now stands at 40,263.
– Active cases: 28,070
– Death toll: 1,306
– Cured/discharged/migrated cases: 10,887
3. With 427 new coronavirus cases, Delhi recorded its highest single-day spike taking the total case count to 4,549. 64 deaths have been reported in the national capital till date.
4. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said that a suggestion has been made to the Centre to lift the coronavirus-induced lockdown in the national capital.
“I believe the lockdown can be lifted in Delhi. We have even suggested the Centre that the containment zones should remain sealed but the rest of Delhi should be declared as a green zone as it has affected the revenue that the government used to earn,” said Kejriwal during a video conference on Sunday.

5. 27 deaths and 678 new Coronavirus cases recorded in Maharashtra today. The total number of positive cases has risen to 12,974 including 548 deaths.
6. Maharashtra Government has issued a list of activities that will be allowed and not allowed in different zones of the state.
7. Shops selling liquor, paan, gutka, tobacco, etc. are allowed to operate provided they are standalone shops, neighbourhood (colony) shops or shops in residential complexes. These shops shall ensure minimum 6ft distance among customers and not more than 5 people at a time at a shop: Delhi Government.
8. MHA clarified that the order regarding the movement of people amid lockdown is not extended to those categories of persons who’re otherwise residing normally at places other than native places for purposes of work etc. and those who wish to visit their native place in normal course.
9. Number of COVID-19 positive cases reaches 442 in Haryana including 245 discharges and five deaths. Number of active cases stands at 192.

10. 3 deaths and 114 new COVID-19 cases reported in Rajasthan, taking the total number of cases to 2,886 in the state; total deaths in the state stands at 71.
Rajasthan Government has issued a notification stating regulations to be observed by the persons to prevent the outbreak of the cornavirus.
