After the Centre announced various schemes and food subsidies for three months for the underprivileged or unorganized sector, many on the internet started speculating that the lockdown might extend to three months instead of the 21-days announced by PM Modi.

NewsMobile spoke to senior government officials, who confirmed that as of March 30th, there is no proposal to extend the lockdown.

We also found a tweet by ANI, dated March 30, 2020. As per the tweet, Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba said that the government has no plans to extend the lockdown.
