Gurugram: Deputy Commissioner Amit Khatri on Tuesday issued an order advising all MNC’s, IT companies, firms, industries and corporate establishments to remain shut till March 31 and give their employees, an option of working from home.
This order came in view of the growing grip of the Corona virus that is threading to wreak havoc across the nation and the state of Haryana.

The order was issued under the Haryana Epidemic Disease, COVID-19 Regulations 2020.
Gurugram with the presence of about 300 out of the Fortune 500 companies is a hub of India’s economic development and with the presence of a number of expatriates, is particularly vulnerable to this virus.
Already many of the MNC’s such as Hindustan Unilever, Nestle and Amazon amongst others have already offered their employees, the option of working from home.
The Haryana State government had on Sunday ordered the shutting down of all cinema halls, Malls, gyms and other establishments till March 31 due to this virus.
According to government sources, the following is the health bulletin as of March 17.
1. Information Regarding 1486 Passengers / Suspected Cases were received in district Gurugram.
2. 1273 Persons is on Home quarantine
3. Three persons are admitted in Medanta The Medicity Hospital, Gurugram, three in Fortis Hospital
4. 4 Samples sent for lab confirmation
5. Total 21 sample sent till date
6. Results of 16 Samples were received in which 15 were negative, one positive and five Samples of which the results are awaited.
7. 207 Persons completed 28 days (Home quarantine)
8. 4 Passengers / Suspected cases were not traceable due to lack of information pertaining to an incomplete address and contact number
9. Tracing of more passengers is currently underway
