Former principal secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Nripendra Misra, on Wednesday was appointed as the head of the temple construction committee of the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust.
Besides, Mahant Nritya Gopal Das of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Champat Rai have also been elected as the president and the general secretary of the Trust, respectively.
The decisions were taken in the first meeting of the Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, which is overlooking the construction of a Ram temple at Ayodhya, at the residence of senior lawyer K Parasaran.

On February 5, PM Modi had announced the formation of the 15-member trust in Parliament.
