The Defence Expo 2020 to be held from February 5 in Lucknow will see the participation of defence manufacturing firms from over 165 countries. The Ministry of Defence has said that 1028 firms will be participating.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the expo. India hopes to attract investments, both foreign and domestic to add to its indigenous manufacturing base in the defence sector.
The following are some of the products which will be displayed,
1. C295 aircraft- This is an aircraft manufactured by Airbus.
2. AS565 MBe Panther helicopter
3. H145M helicopter
4. H225M helicopter
5. South Korean Hanwha’s Self-propelled Air Defence Gun Missile System
6. K9/K10 Artillery systems
7. K200 Armoured personnel carrier
8. Surion Helicopter
9. FA-05 light attack helicopter
10. Live Face Identification system of Thales
