The mystery over the air crash in Afghanistan on Monday has partially ended with the US confirming that one of its aircrafts has crashed in Afghanistan.
This area where the aircraft crashed is also said to be controlled by the Taliban. The crash happened in the Ghazni province of Afghanistan.
The Taliban had in a post on Social Media, uploaded photographs of the aircraft that was seen burning.
However, the US has refused to accept that its aircraft was brought down by an enemy target. They have stated that an investigation is currently underway.
On Monday, various media reports had suggested that an aircraft belonging to the Ariana airlines had crashed.
The aircraft which is said to have crashed was supposed to have been traveling from Herat to Ghazni.
The CEO of Ariana airlines, the nation carrier of Afghanistan, later clarified to ToloNews that all flights are safe and there has been no aircraft crash, reported earlier on Monday.
He added that Ariana was operating two flights, from Herat to Kabul and Kabul to New Delhi, and they were safe.
This area is also said to be controlled by the Taliban.
