India set a target of 256-runs for Australia in first ODI

India batting first were all out for 255-runs with five-balls remaining in the first ODI against Australia on Tuesday in Mumbai’s Wankhade Stadium.

India had a shaky start with early dismissal of Rohit Sharma (10). Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul played a stable inning in the middle by scoring 74 and 47-runs respectively.

India playing XI: Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli (capt), Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah.

Australia playing XI: David Warner, Aaron Finch (capt), Steven Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Ashton Turner, Alex Carey (wk), Ashton Agar, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Kane Richardson, Adam Zampa.

The second ODI between both teams will be played on January 17.
