A day after a Ukraine airliner crashed in Iran, killing all 176 people on board, US officials on Thursday said that it was most likely brought down ‘accidentally’ by Iranian air defences.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump had said the deadly crash of a Ukrainian plane could have been a mistake, adding that he had a terrible feeling about the disaster.
The Ukrainian International Airlines Boeing 737-800, flying to Kiev (Ukraine) and carrying 167 passengers and nine crew members, crashed shortly after taking off from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini airport, killing all 176 people on board.
